Layering is a good way to describe my current love of mixed media. Using revived granny skills with a new interest, sewing, crotchet, felting, embroidery,knitting....its time to teach our children again.
I am currently focusing on re purposing, recycling, using some kind of hand craft skill, I might make books, and hair clips and dresses, mini collages, all using vintage and one off found objects.
Books will have individually tea stained pages, and an original collage work by me, I am doing small Indian ink and fountain pen original bird sketches.
My current love of crotchet again is standing out and I want to include it in some of my new layering work.
I will be sending out my first challenge which will be called

Because I am focusing on re purposing I have rifled through my stash of fabrics, old clothes, trims, braids, etc and come up with a few designs. Each dress will be individual due to having just enough fabric or trim to create your masterpiece.
This is a great way of using what you have and not creating waste.
OK so I am off to take photos of these creations to be made,
I am also crocheting different fabric patterns trying to find the perfect pattern for my dress bodice.
